Professional Battery Management Capability
The Xum LED Fresnel is the brightest fresnel available for camera batteries. With a volt-meter built into the light, you can set limits for the power draw, and a flashing visual alarm to warn if a battery is running low. These features enable reliable battery-based production without surprises.
150w Daylight LED with high CRI and PureBeam™ technology
PureBeam is a dense packing of illuminance dies into a circular array with a phosphorescence layer matching the size and shape of the dies. Why is this important? PureBeam projects a beautiful circle of light. This is ideal for lighting for movement, cutting, and covering uniform surfaces like green-screens. This is a level of precision that has otherwise never been available in a fresnel light.
Tilt-Shift Lens
The 7″ housing can tilt the lens at an angle to the Illuminator to cast a light field with a gradient. This allows you to light a green-screen from one side and get uniform illumination, counteracting the expected falloff. You can light a group of people from the side, and have the same intensity from near to far. This means lighting for movement is exceptionally easier. This gives an effect normally requiring much larger lights set further away for their falloff to even out with distance.
Modular Design
- Daylight or Tungsten Illuminator,
- 5″ or 7″ Zoom Lens,
- and a Power Supply
Each can be purchased separately, or as a turn-key assembly (like this one.) Each piece can be substituted for others – for instance, a Daylight 7″ light and a Tungsten 5″ light can switch lenses for a Tungsten 7″ light and a Daylight 5″ light.
